Welcome to the website of Dr. Andrea L. Hetrick, an assistant professor of Management in the Anderson School of Management at the University of New Mexico. Dr. Hetrick has presented her work at national conferences, including the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology and the Academy of Management, and her research has been published in the Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Organizational Behavior, Human Performance, and Oxford Bibliographies. Her research explores how employee and organizational outcomes are impacted by employee helping behavior, leader-follower relationships, deviant conduct, work design features, threats to status, and work-family conflict. Dr. Hetrick’s consulting work has involved implementing effective and legally-defensible selection and assessment systems for companies such as Del Monte Foods, RaceTrac, Procter & Gamble, the United Way, DOW Chemical, Oakley, Development Dimensions International, the Pennsylvania State Education Association, and the UGA Carl Vinson Institute of Government.

Dr. Hetrick's expertise includes a strong methodological and statistical background, and she has served as the analysis expert for several research efforts by employing experience sampling methodology, multilevel modelling, structural equation modeling, partially-latent path analysis, meta-analysis, age-period-cohort analyses, qualitative coding, and repeated measures analysis of variance approaches.
